This is the qualification that leads to registration with the South African Nursing Council as a professional nurse. It combines academic study with supervised clinical practice in hospitals and clinics from early in the programme.
Clinical placements are compulsory and often fall outside normal teaching hours, including night and weekend shifts. Confirm that the programme you apply for is accredited by the South African Nursing Council.
